Got My Crewel On
A present for my mother's last birthday, this is another project that came out of an Inspirations magazine.
It was a lovely, quick project. Simple crewel embroidery and easy construction meant this took no time at all. I was quite pleased by that, especially as I had no time to do it in!
The pincushion was quite quick and easy- you can see here the during shots. Simple layering of felt achieved the cushioning, and then it was just pin it all on and stitch it all down!
The scissor sheath I put together my own way- forgoing what I felt were overly complicated instructions given in the pattern. But it came out just fine with my own version. (Boo at crappy lighting!)
